Agreement
These Terms of Service ("terms") are an agreement between you and Marooned Interactive, an individual developer based in India ("we", "us"). They apply to the game Idle Cosmic Chaos ("the game") on any platform and to this website, marooned-interactive.com. By downloading, installing or playing the game, or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and is part of these terms. The store you downloaded the game from (Google Play or, when available, the Apple App Store) also has its own terms, which apply alongside ours. On iOS, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies where it gives you more rights than these terms.
Who can play
The game is not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only play with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for you and is responsible for any purchases you make.
Your account
The game creates a player account for you, linked to your Google Play Games (or Game Center) profile, to save your progress. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your device and store account secure. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, shared or transferred.
You can delete your account at any time, in the game under Settings › Delete account, or by following the steps at marooned-interactive.com/delete-account.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to download and play the game for your own non-commercial entertainment on devices you own or control, in line with these terms and the rules of the store you got it from. The game is licensed to you, not sold.
Virtual currency and items
The game contains virtual currencies, upgrades and other in-game items, some earned by playing and some available to buy. They are part of your licence to use the game: you do not own them, they have no real-world monetary value, and they cannot be sold, traded, transferred or exchanged for real money or anything of value, inside or outside the game.
We may change how virtual currency and items work, for example to balance the game or fix errors. Virtual currency and items are lost if your account is deleted or ends.
Purchases and refunds
All in-app purchases are made through Google Play or, on iOS, the App Store, and are processed under that store's terms. We never see your payment card details. Prices are shown in the store before you buy and include any taxes the store collects.
Purchased content is delivered to your account immediately. When you buy it, you ask us to supply it straight away and, where the law allows, you acknowledge that you lose any right to withdraw from the purchase once it has been delivered. Refund requests are handled by the store that took your payment, under its refund policy. If something you bought did not arrive, contact us and we will help.
Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country you live in.
Ads
The game is free to play and shows ads, including optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch in return for an in-game reward. Ads are provided by Google AdMob and its partner networks, as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the websites they link to.
Fair play
When you use the game or this website, please do not:
- cheat, use bots, hacks, modified clients or any unauthorised software to gain an advantage or automate play;
- deliberately exploit bugs or errors, or manipulate the game's time, save data or purchase system;
- copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer or extract the game's code or assets, except where the law expressly allows it;
- interfere with, overload or attack our servers or the services of our partners;
- use the game for any commercial purpose or for anything unlawful.

Our content
The game and this website, including their code, art, music, sound, text, characters and the names Idle Cosmic Chaos and Marooned Interactive, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Apart from the licence above, these terms give you no rights in them. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without paying you.
Third-party services
The game relies on services from other companies, including the app stores, Google Play Games Services, our backend provider Tardis, our analytics providers and our advertising partners. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for services we do not control.
Changes to the game
We keep improving the game, so we may update, change or remove features, content and balance from time to time. Some features need an internet connection. We may stop offering the game, or parts of it, in the future; if we plan to shut down online features, we will try to give reasonable notice in the game or on this website first.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using the game at any time by uninstalling it, and you can end your account completely by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access to the game if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect other players or our services. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. Sections that by their nature should continue after these terms end, such as ownership, liability and governing law, continue to apply.
No warranty
We work hard to keep the game fun and running, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that saved progress can never be lost. This does not affect any guarantees you have by law that cannot be excluded.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or virtual items, arising from your use of the game or this website. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the game in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you live in another country, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of that country, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow. Before taking formal action, please contact us so we can try to resolve the problem.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the game or the law changes. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for important changes, tell you in the game. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. If one part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
